This geospatial dataset provides a detailed information base on flood risk exposure and vulnerability in the ‘Nuova Pescara’ urban agglomeration – which comprises the municipalities of Pescara, Montesilvano and Spoltore – ahead of their planned merger in 2027. The dataset is the result of a multidisciplinary analysis conducted in a GIS environment and structured in three phases: Information bases: a systematic collection of relevant geospatial databases; Urban systems: data organised according to the built environment and mobility, with relational indicators and spatial analyses; Territorial vulnerability: detailed information on vulnerable populations, the density of commercial activities and the location of essential services, in relation to flood risk. The data were analysed to identify critical issues linked to soil sealing in coastal areas and the risks of flash floods in hilly areas. This dataset represents a vital resource for researchers, urban planners and policy-makers, providing practical tools for adaptive climate risk management, spatial planning and urban regeneration processes in the future metropolitan city. Il dataset is part of Interreg Italy-Croatia project - CRESCO Adria-Climate Resilient Coastal Planning in Adriatic (https://www.italy-croatia.eu/web/crescoadria)
