Today’s landscapes are being transformed by climate change. Climate change sometimes amplifies natural events that turn into major disasters, putting people and the landscape heritage of the entire country at risk. Rising temperatures could bring serious repercussions on the most fragile and vulnerable landscapes such as those of inland areas. Today, there are more and more known responses to mutations successfully tested in the international arena, in the big cities. Few are, instead, the applications made in our country, and in particular in the inland areas, more marginal and remote. This research, analyzing the case study of the Apennines in Central Italy, intends to investigate the evolution of the landscapes of inland areas as a result of climate change and to verify paths and appropriate responses within the processes of planning and design of landscape, urban and territorial scale, in order to increase the resilience of territories and communities.
Il nostro clima sta cambiando. Il paesaggio si sta trasformando anche a causa dei cambiamenti climatici. I cambiamenti climatici talvolta amplificano eventi naturali che si trasformano in gravi disastri mettendo a rischio la popolazione e il patrimonio paesaggistico dell’intero Paese. L’aumento delle temperature potrebbe portare ripercussioni sui paesaggi più fragili e vulnerabili come quelli delle aree interne. Oggi, sono sempre più numerose le risposte alle mutazioni sperimentate, con successo, in ambito internazionale, nelle grandi città. Poche sono, invece, le applicazioni realizzate nel nostro Paese, e in particolare nelle aree interne, più marginali e remote. Questa ricerca, analizzando il caso studio dell’Appennino Umbro Marchigiano, intende approfondire l’evoluzione del paesaggio delle aree interne a seguito dei cambiamenti climatici e verificare percorsi e risposte adeguate in seno ai processi di piano e progetto di paesaggio, alla scala urbana e territoriale, al fine di innalzare la resilienza di territori e comunità.
