In this paper the authors study a two-stage tandem queueing model with attached inventory where all customers are flushed out from the second stage of the system once the inventory level drops to zero. In this two-stage tandem queueing model, customers are served in batches at the first stage and served individually at the second stage. Each stage is managed by one server.
