Trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata) is a tree native to Korea and widely used as rootstock breeding material due to its hardiness against cold weather and parasites. In the present work we determined the differences among the volatile profiles of peel, pulp and seeds of two cultivars from Italy. HS-SPME and hydrodistillation techniques were used in combination with GC-FID and GC-MS to obtain the volatile profiles of the samples. Both techniques permitted to differentiate trifoliate orange fruit parts based on the main volatile components. From results the two cultivars of P. trifoliata did not show significant differences in volatile profiles.
