A new analytical method that uses liquid cromatograpy - LTQ orbitrap mass spectrometry has been developed for the analysis of glycoalkaloids and their aglycon in potato samples. Method validation was performed, including sensitivity, linearity, accuracy and precision and specificity and the method was used to screen different Irish potato samples.

Abstract
