Abstract The research topic involves the design of technological system lower energy consumption and able to improve allowing a thermal performance of buildings, according to the logic of NZEB (Near Zero Energy Building). The major role is assigned to new features applied to the traditional system of the window. In order to achieve this goal, the research focuses on the relationship between academic studies and companies’ experience working in the Marche region. Thus, a know-how must be received by the companies, being able to ensure a good teaching for the project. The introduction explores the state of the art concerning the building masonries built after the mid 1900s, detecting the low thermal e ciency for the residences, often without any insulation. The- refore, the research aims to apply a new insulating frame, assembled with the window, in order to improve the energy saving and the indoor heating comfort. Moreover, the work aims to organize the interior space, using a precast dry wall system, associated to thermal detectors. Dry systems, thanks to their technological evolution, allow to achieve energy results in the eld of façades, due to the opaque walls organize the indoor habitat. For this reason, the construction industry wants to decrease the incidence of heat loss in exterior walls, especially in the buildings built during the post-war period. At the time, many buildings have a certain thermal vulnerability today, because they have not an adequate insulation in the wall. In the second part, the research has been analy- sed several masonries, in order to verify the best system to be applied above the current wall. In- deed, it is necessary to create an insulating connection between the new and the old wall, leaving intact the current one, using only the part of the old structure. In addition, a correct design to is needed assemble all frame elements: often some evidences, identify the weak thermally junction between the window frame and the masonry. To overcome these problems, the research wants to embed a prefabricated structure, to reach quickly and easily an abatement of dispersions. The technologic design resumes the dry system idea, based on the criteria of lightness and thermal performance. The retro t corrects the thermal loss and it increases the indoor comfort, with the aid of materials and construction techniques. Finally, building energy performance should be com- bined with an aesthetical study, to improve the appearance. Therefore, it is important to identify an architectural modular, to join an innovative architecture to an antiquated building to improve its thermal properties.
