Donato Donati. La parabola di un intellettuale al tramonto dello stato liberale

This essay, starting from a brief analysis of the prolusion held in Camerino, tries to frame the legal production and personal events of Donato Donati in the final phase of classical liberalism and in the fascist “ventennio”. The figure of Donati is seen as part of the broader movement of intellectuals (and in particular jurists) of liberal education, faced with the tumultuous social evolution of the early twentieth century, the crisis of parliamentarism and the establishment of the dictatorship.
