The seismic crisis of 2016 showed the fragility of cultural heritage, especially in some areas that had already experienced previous catastrophic events and were in conditions of great socio-economic difficulty. A process of revision of the intervention practices consolidated over time has been launched, to achieve a degree of in-depth knowledge of the construction processes, the materials used, the intrinsic weaknesses and those linked to repeated seismic phenomena. A group of researchers from the University of Camerino has experimented with a set of analyzes of a rapid nature for a pre-diagnosis, useful for directing subsequent diagnostic and monitoring investigations, in order to activate a more accurate control of the phenomena in progress. The method was developed to acquire statistical data, favoring the quantity of measurement points through extensive mapping, to identify the most critical areas to be subjected to more in-depth diagnostic analyses.
