The general aim of the project LIFE IMAGINE UMBRIA is the creation of an integrated management system that guarantees the achievement of the conservation objectives of the Habitats and Birds Directives, also in terms of economic and technical sustainability, through the development of management policies and actions towards: i) the pro-active management of habitats and species, ii) the coherence between the Natura 2000 Network and external territories (ecological connectivity and landscape), iii) the training of professionals suitable for the management of Natura 2000 Network, iv) the involvement of citizens. Through the SUNLIFE project, some general objectives and actions to deal with them have been identified and listed in the PAF. In particular, the type of measures to be implemented aim to achieve some general priorities as: Improving governance, integration and harmonization for the proper management of the Natura 2000 network (see section F3 of the PAF); Maintain and improve the conservation status of habitats and species also in relation to mitigation and adaptation to climate change (see section F1-F2 of the PAF); Increase awareness, information and use of Natura 2000 areas (see section F3 of the PAF); Monitor the conservation status of habitats species protected by the Directives present in Umbria (see section F1-F2 of the PAF).
