The "Crater community" is a HUB in central Italy (shared with the regions of Marche and Abruzzo) aimed at promoting resilient communities able to interact fruitfully with the natural resources of the area in the reconstruction process and, more generally, in the management of risks from natural disasters, using new technologies and social-media as an important tool for communication and dissemination of information, especially in the most internal, fragile and vulnerable areas from a socio-economic and settlement point of view. More specifically, the Crater community will allow to: test new interactions between local communities (citizen science), government agencies and academia; involve and raise awareness of natural disaster risks in communities, promoting the dissemination of information and stimulating a "more objective" perception of risk in the "preparation", "reaction" and "overcoming" phases; carry out continuous monitoring of good practices, with particular attention to the European context, throughout the duration of the project. The action will provide the co-design of objectives, goals, and the action plan; the definition of the map of relevant actors and subjects and their roles; the definition of the interregional focus programme.
