Two copper( II) complexes of new hexyl bis(pyrazol-1-yl)acetate ligands were prepared, fully characterized in solution and in the solid-state (SR-XPS and XAS), and studied as new catalysts for the oxidation of alkenes via the Kharasch–Sosnovsky reaction avoiding the use of external reducing agents.
