Polymer based nanocapsules have been widely studied as a potential drug delivery system in recent years. Nanocapsules, as one of a kind nanoparticle, provide a unique nanostructure consisting of a liquid/solid core with a polymeric shell, which is of increasing interest in drug delivery applications. In this review, the nanocapsules delivery systems studied in last decade will be reviewed along with nanocapsules formulation, characterizations of physical/chemical/biological properties, and applications. Furthermore, the challenges and opportunities of nanocapsules applications will be proposed.

Abstract
Polymer based nanocapsules have been widely studied as a potential drug delivery system in recent years. Nanocapsules, as one of a kind nanoparticle, provide a unique nanostructure consisting of a liquid/solid core with a polymeric shell, which is of increasing interest in drug delivery applications. In this review, the nanocapsules delivery systems studied in last decade will be reviewed along with nanocapsules formulation, characterizations of physical/chemical/biological properties, and applications. Furthermore, the challenges and opportunities of nanocapsules applications will be proposed.File in questo prodotto:
