During Modern Age, women’s honor is represented as an accessory to the male’s one. The issue is addressed from the point of view of the delicta carnis, and in particular of the violent kiss. This was assimilated to rape although over time there is a mitigation of the ordinary punishment and a remodeling of the possibility of using the kiss as a marriage strategy.
