The new EU Regulations on property regimes in cross border families could have a significant impact on the domestic legal framework. The article describes the new rules adopted by Croatia State and the main issues proposed by the patrimonial regimes in Italy after the introduction of the L. 76/2016 (civil unions). The authors underline the importance of a dialogue between the domestic rule and the European rules in Family and Succession law.
