Stranieri-non cittadini, mobilità e migrazioni in Roma antica. Alcuni aspetti e problemi

In the beginning of the essay, it is pointed out how the distinctions between citizens and non-citizens were born in a dynamic and open social framework, such as the archaic one of Rome, in which only over the centuries the classical tripartite division between Ro-mans, Latins and peregrini, which in any case disregarded nationality criteria. Therefore, a look at recent bibliography on the subject of Romanization and Italic identity is thrown, with a more focused consideration of the case of the postannibal remigratio of the colonists of Piacenza and Cremona. Further topics reviewed are mobility, migration, censuses and expulsions of foreigners between the republic and the principality. In principio del saggio si pone in rilievo come le distinzioni tra cittadini e non-cittadini siano nate in una cornice sociale dinamica e aperta, qual era quella arcaica di Roma, nella quale soltanto nei secoli si cristallizzò poi la tripartizione classica fra romani, latini e peregrini, che comunque prescindeva da criteri di nazionalità. Quindi, si getta uno sguardo su bibliografia recente in materia di romanizzazione e identità italica, con una considerazione più mirata del caso della remigratio post-annibalica dei coloni di Piacenza e Cremona. Ulteriori argomenti passati in rassegna sono la mobilità, le migrazioni, i censimenti e le espulsioni di stranieri tra repubblica e principato.
