Lactobacillus plantarum IMC 509 and SYNBIO® (a mixture of 1:1 of L. rhamnosus IMC 501® and L. paracasei IMC 502®) are commercially available probiotic strains (SYNBIOTEC Srl, Camerino, Italy)[1,2]. In the present study, they were used as promising anti-spoilage components spread on the surface of common wrapping paper, used to extend raw chicken breast meat shelf-life in fridge, within GRAFOOD project.
