Ptychostomum arcticum (R.Br.) J.R.Spence ex D.T. Holyoak & N.Pedersen was found at Marmolada Glacier, Punta Rocca, province of Belluno, Veneto Region. ca. 3309 m a.s.l., on grey limestone rock, 28 August 2015, leg./det. S. Poponessi s.n. (PERU). This is the first record of Ptychostomum arcticum for the Veneto region of Italy. It was previously known in the country from a single recent record in only one region of the Italian peninsula: Friuli Venezia-Giulia.
