The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of omega-3 fatty acids sup- plementation on horse performance, with special attention to galloper and jumper horses. The analysis of some hematologi- cal parameters showed decreasing packed cell volume values following the administration of omega-3 fatty acids. Therefore, completing horse diet with polyunsatured fatty acids sources can preserve horse health improving the ath- letic performance.
