In reference to important Italian experiences—in particular, the “Wine City” regulatory plans, the “Vineyard Park” project in the Region of Umbria, and the “Improvement of the Langa Landscape” project in the Union of Communities of the Langa and Barolo Hills—this article highlights the capability of new urban planning instruments to confront different aspects linking quality production to the improvement and renewal of the territory and the landscape and to provide useful indications, suggestions, or rules for the improvement and transformation of the landscape. This is to be done in a synergic way and going beyond the traditional zoning approach, with the involvement of local communities and manufacturing companies.
