The objectives of PCCA are: 1. Stimulating research and development activities performed in partnerships (by research organizations, economic agents, NGO’s and / or professional associations, etc.,) in order to shorten the way from the scientific knowledge to technology with socio-economic impact, corresponding to the needs and evolution of the market; 2. Connecting applied research and technological progress from Romania to the national and global socio-economic requirements, by achieving, within nine strategic priority areas, original products, advanced technologies and services, internationally competitive and major socio- economic impact; 3. Increasing private sector investment in R&D activities, in their own activities and in collaboration with universities and research institutes, in order to facilitate completion and transfer of results to the market; 4. Developing infrastructure, institutional capacity and the human resources competences dedicated to applied research and innovative technologies development in Romania.
