In the Vallaspra wood, near Atessa (Chieti), which consist mostly of turkey oaks, the presence of Carici remotae-Fraxinetum oxycarpae has been observed. For the coenoses of such locality, we propose a new subassociation entitled iridetosum foetidissimae. At this border there is a vegetation very close to Rubio-Carpinetum.
