Abstract

We present an application of the so-called determinantal method for the Monte Carlo simulation of fermionic systems, for the case of the two-dimensional three band Hubbard model. Our analysis of the conjugate gradient procedure shows that a proper treatment of the linear system of equations is necessary in order to avoid introducing asymmetries which are responsible for numerical instabilities in the algorithm.
