The rehabilitation of the patient with neural le¬sions requires different levels of intervention carried out over a long period of time and affecting the patient’s chance of survival. The National Health Service organization has Rehabilitation Services and Geriatric Evaluation Units in the individ¬ual Local Health Units, which are responsible, for the patient after the acute phase of the lesion to the ner¬vous system. The Venetian Region has recently passed a law (DGR 2227/02) in accordance with, DCPM (16.4.02) regard¬ing Elementary Levels of Assistance (LEA). However, this law does not contain any indications regarding the modes, criteria, and typology of the service offered, unlike what has been widely experimented and applied in Northern European countries (Sweden) and the U.SA. Hence the absolute need to lay down inter¬vention guidelines and protocols which respect the epidemiological and statistical criteria and have the main aim of limiting complications and enhancing the autonomy of a patient after neural lesion.

Abstract
Hence the absolute need to lay down inter¬vention guidelines and protocols which respect the epidemiological and statistical criteria and have the main aim of limiting complications and enhancing the autonomy of a patient after neural lesion.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
