This study points out the importance of activation purification plants in various Marche region watersheds. the comparative analysis of watercourses in 1990 and 2000, by chemical, physio-chemical and bacteriological analyses as well as biological monitoring, showed a stable situation, or frequently, an improvement in the quality of the Marche region rivers examined.
