A questionnaire-type investigation was carried out with the aim of identifying both the structural characteristics of the houses and the habits of the inhabitants, these being two factors which can affect the risk ele¬ment for household accidents. The resu1ts essentially evidenced the risks of electric shocks, falls, intoxication, and burns, all of which are connected to insufficient atten-tion being addressed by adu1ts to the simplest and most common safety rules. Information represents one of the most important ways of enabling the citizen to protect himself by acquiring knowledge of that mistaken behavior which will lead to serious accidents both to himself and to other members of the family.
