Abstract
During the 16th and the 17th Centuries, artists and architects constantly depicted and surveyed the Tempietto of San Pietro in Montorio by Bramante. The vast set of images related with this monument deserves to be studied not only for their documentary value, but also for the high quality of the drawings. Starting from the Tempietto and its many depictions, this paper investigates the nature of architectural drawings, as a means of designing and as a source of knowledge – both theoretical and practical.File in questo prodotto:
