METODI DI DATAZIONE DELLE MURATURE IN LATERIZIO: VERIFICA DELLO STATO DELLE RICERCHE PER L’AREA PICENA

Among the dating methods, the mensiochronology allows, if correctly applied, to evaluate the chronology and the evolution of the construction techniques. The article analyzes a case study represented by the brick walls, located in some historic centers of the Marche Region. The research is currently underway, but it is clear that the measures of the bricks tend to change over the centuries, in relation to socio-economic conditions; in particular, in the central-southern Marche region, brick sizes are decreasing from the 16th to the 18th century, attesting the improvement of the construction techniques over the centuries.
