LA CITAZIONE DEL FRAMMENTO NELLA CONTINUITÀ D’USO DEL TRAVERTINO ASCOLANO: ALCUNI ESEMPI/ THE CITATION OF THE FRAGMENT IN THE USE CONTINUITY OF ASCOLI TRAVERTINE: SOME EXAMPLES

The contribution aims to analyze the theme of the fragment citation, to develop a reflection on the complex relations that exist between the single element and its context. In particular, the meaning of the fragment with aesthetic and compositional autonomy is explored, in relation to the whole of which it was part or in relation to other fragments. The role of these tangible presences in Ascoli Piceno is verified as an example of continuity in the use of travertine, from the Roman period.

Il contributo intende analizzare il tema della citazione del frammento – nelle sue differenti declinazioni – per sviluppare una riflessione sulle complesse relazioni immateriali e materiali che intercorrono tra il singolo elemento e il suo contesto.
