Digital storytelling, virtual tours or gamification, are some of the technologies used to transform the perception of places and cultural Heritage into multimedia environments. The Digital Lodges project, for example, aims to create a web container that integrates structured historical information with digital exploration of spaces through virtual tours and gigapixel analysis. The HTLM5 web portal brings together a wealth of historical information and HD photographic content related to three of Rome’s most important Renaissance lodges. The first to be included in the portal with all its contents is the Galatea lodge of Villa la Farnesina.
