Visioni di città. Trasfigurazione dello spazio urbano nelle esperienze fotografiche contemporanee

The paper investigates some trends in contemporary photography where new understandings of urban spaces are presented through image manipulation. This is achieved by redefining the existent: this is reinterpreted with procedures that, by changing forms and meanings, become new realities that arrive at a new nature where, moving further and further away from a concrete reference, the relationship with the original becomes ambiguous and distorted.
