Arrival city. Dispositivo generativo per alloggi temporanei personalizzati

The design approach stems from the idea that Milan is currently a city of stops and journeys, a landing place for ‘urban nomads’ which, for different needs, intend living as a temporary condition. Questioning on the new ways of living, the project identifies strategies which, thanks to the current availability of advanced digital methodologies and technologies for design and customized production, propose a generative and dynamic approach: a device capable of coping with the great demand for flexibility, through a matrix of possible customizable scenarios. The design of the entire process is relevant to respond in an adaptive manner to requests: customized user requirements, dynamic-balance control between costs and revenues by the developer, transformative possibilities of the structure, become the variables to be managed within of a platform that, as an open ecosystem of spatial and technological configurations, tries to mediate the best possible proposal from time to time.
