Metal-based drugs are used for a wide range of human diseases, beyond their well-known applications in cancer (cisplatin) or rheumatoid arthritis (auranofin). For instance, a number of metal complexes have been developed for the treatment/cure of a variety of disorders, such as ulcers, diabetes, inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases, and so on. This Special Issue will cover a selection of recent research and review articles to collect and disseminate some of the most significant and recent contributions in the field of metals used in medicine.
