Abstract
Anisakis simplex is a foodborne pathogen with increasing interest due to the high consumption of raw fish products and the prevalence of anisakiosis worldwide. Although anisakiasis is sometimes misdiagnosed with other gastrointestinal diseases this parasite causes a high number of allergic reactions with urticaria and anaphylaxis as clinical symptoms. In the attempt to search for new pharmacological treatments from natural origin, nineteen essential oils obtained from medicinal and culinary plants were screened against Anisakis simplex L3 larvae isolated from blue whiting fish (Micromesistius poutassou)File in questo prodotto:
