We present a preliminary study of the basic concepts in the energy generation from Wave Motion, which is a very interesting renewable energy resource. In particular, we describe a simple mathematical model for the sea waves, their motion and the dynamics of the corresponding energy spectrum. Note that, the knowledge of these models is useful in the design of energy generation devices. So, we briey describe the OWC (Oscillating Water Column) devices and the turbo-machines theory.

Abstract
