The goal of the research is to offer alternative, sustainable, transferable solutions for urban public mobility based on a planning simulation for the city of Ancona in the Marche region of Italy. Special attention is given to urban centres with a complex orography marked by considerable differences in altitude, which implies accessibility problems and complex routes to go up. Cable transport is believed to be one of the most appropriate transport systems for this type of urban centre. Despite its widespread and well-tested use in mountain areas, it is still not widely used in cities.

Abstract
The goal of the research is to offer alternative, sustainable, transferable solutions for urban public mobility based on a planning simulation for the city of Ancona in the Marche region of Italy. Special attention is given to urban centres with a complex orography marked by considerable differences in altitude, which implies accessibility problems and complex routes to go up. Cable transport is believed to be one of the most appropriate transport systems for this type of urban centre. Despite its widespread and well-tested use in mountain areas, it is still not widely used in cities.File in questo prodotto:
