The paper illustrates the results of a double didactic experience, experimenting the use of drawing as an advantaged tool to investigate the relation between contemporary art and architecture. The activities focused on a specific study case: the series of unconventional and unceasing renovations of an ancient flat located in Rome, chosen as a space for artistic inspiration where artists and architects are invited to arrange their solo show by a private art foundation: Fondazione Volume! The main task was testing a method to effectively report such a singular series of art works, pursuing a strategy to be assumed as a wide ranging good practice for the visual representation of contemporary art works, able to complement “traditional” photographs and videos.

Abstract
The paper illustrates the results of a double didactic experience, experimenting the use of drawing as an advantaged tool to investigate the relation between contemporary art and architecture. The activities focused on a specific study case: the series of unconventional and unceasing renovations of an ancient flat located in Rome, chosen as a space for artistic inspiration where artists and architects are invited to arrange their solo show by a private art foundation: Fondazione Volume! The main task was testing a method to effectively report such a singular series of art works, pursuing a strategy to be assumed as a wide ranging good practice for the visual representation of contemporary art works, able to complement “traditional” photographs and videos.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
