Following previous studies on MOFs built on pyrazole-based ligands, here we report the coordinative ability of some flexible and rigid pyrazole-based spacers toward late transition metal ions such as Zn(II), Co(II), Cd(II) and Cu(I). Some MOFs were found to display permanent microporosity and remarkable thermal resistance. Moreover, some of them were found to act as highly efficient and selective catalysts in the MW-assisted solvent-free oxidation of various linear and cyclic alcohols with t-BuOOH, namely 1-phenylethanol, benzylalcohol and various secondary alcohols.
