This special issue of Inorganica Chimica Acta is dedicated to Dr. Swiatoslaw Trofimenko, also called “Slawko”, by his friends and “Jerry” by most of his English speaking colleagues, to honour and remember his strong contribution to chemistry and 40 years of work accomplished with the pyrazolylborate and related tripodal ligands. It comprises a compilation of articles from Trofimenko friends and colleagues from all over the world, who not only have appreciated Jerry for his scientific wonderful work, but also for his great intelligence and kindly disposition.
