Fiume Aso: valutazione della qualità delle acque

Abstract The Authors have evaluated the clinical, bacteriological and biological parameters of the Aso River. Their data suggest that extensive reaches of this river are polluted. The cause of this may be due to several factors such as the intrinsec scarce flow of the river and the flow variation as a consequence of the presence of hydroelectric power stations. The use of the water for agricultural purposes as well as the inflow into the river of several pesticides play an important role in the river pollution.
