The idea of writing this book was born from a faculty exchange, in which I had the chance to participate, between the School of Architecture and Design “Eduardo Vittoria”, University of Camerino, Italy, and the Architecture Department at Cal Poly, California, USA. This book intends to be a means by which the interesting exchange of teachers may not remain an end in itself, but will be a useful and fruitful exchange of knowledge, teaching methods and experiences that enrich the two schools of architecture, and beyond.
