Blood samples were monthly collected from10 female alpacas during pregnacy and lactating period. Glucose, tryglicerids, BUN, creatinine, total protein, and calcium levels and AST, ALT, ALP, GGT activities were determined.Lower levels of glucose and BCS were recorded in the peripartum period, whereas BUN, Calcium, total protein and triglycerids where lower overall lactation period.
