La progettazione del modello dei dati: tra standard e caso studio

This article reports the stage of the research aimed at defining the architecture of information designed and tested on the study case that has been examined. The central crux of the application has been the design of a card that, by organizing the information and its relation in cognitive sections, could contribute to and effective reading of the ways and of the settlement’s forms of the studied sample: the historical centre of Appignano del Tronto. In this regard, the measures that have been carried out are the following. A survey from national to local sphere, on standards and tools for cataloguing, on the examined normative/institutional framework, on studies and research towards the establishment of data archives and inventories, with mention to seismic vulnerability issues as a need felt by local public administrations. In the light of these references, the tackled issues were the identification of descriptive elements (disarticulation of reality) until the related informative unit (unit construction), the selection of attributes and the evaluation of their methods of aggregation/disaggregation. The final filing was built with reference to the rating methodology developed by the ICCD for the catalogue’s card “A” by operating an appropriate reinterpretation and integration on the basis of the above mentioned reconnaissance in order to express and verify, through experimentation, a proper, careful and scientific data management as well as a permanent quality of the contents even link to a GIS application integrated with a geodatabase.
