This paper presents a general analytical formulation of the variable static scheme problem valid in the cases of rigid or deformable restraints. Both external loads and non-mechanical imposed strains, such as shrinkage, are considered during the construction phases. Subsequently, structures built sequentially from repetitive parts are studied. Some results of a wide parametric analysis are shown and a straightforward method for regular design, which permits evaluating the long-term restraint reactions starting from the values obtained by a normal elastic analysis, is proposed.

Abstract
This paper presents a general analytical formulation of the variable static scheme problem valid in the cases of rigid or deformable restraints. Both external loads and non-mechanical imposed strains, such as shrinkage, are considered during the construction phases. Subsequently, structures built sequentially from repetitive parts are studied. Some results of a wide parametric analysis are shown and a straightforward method for regular design, which permits evaluating the long-term restraint reactions starting from the values obtained by a normal elastic analysis, is proposed.File in questo prodotto:
