An analytical model for the time-dependent analysis of the slab casting sequence effects in steel-concrete continuous composite bridges is proposed taking into account shear connection flexibility, concrete shrinkage and thermal hydration effects. The balance condition of the problem is written by the virtual work principle and the numerical solution is obtained by a step by step procedure in conjunction with the finite element method. An application to a four span bridge deck is developed to demonstrate the potential of the model.
