Many researchers have been able to define how a proper nutrition influence the ability of an animal to fight disease. Furthermore there are seeral studies on the effects of deficiencies or/and imbalance of micronutrientss in the process of infection and immunomodulatory properties. The aim of the present work was to investigate the effect of orally Se and Vit E administartion on some blood lymphocyte' subsets of dairy ewes. Eight pregnant dairy ewes received 400 UI of alfa tocopherolo acetate + 0,3mg/d di sodium selenite or 400UI /d of alfa tocopherolo acetate or nothing. Blood samples were weekly drqwn in the first month of lactation.Total and differential leukocytes counts and the proportion of lymphocytes subsets (CD2+, CD4+, CD8+, VPM8+ and gamma/delta+ cells) were carried out. Data were analysed using GLM procedure of S.A.S. (1989). In conclusion, significant differences for total numbers and percentages of lymphocytes and VPM8+ cells were found between treated and control ewes.

Abstract
(1989). In conclusion, significant differences for total numbers and percentages of lymphocytes and VPM8+ cells were found between treated and control ewes.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
