Goal of this research was to evaluate, in trotting mares and their foals, the effects of an oral supplementation (50g/d) with a nutraceutical product (Horse Care, Deavit ®). Blood samples were collected from eight mares and their offspring to evaluate mineral profile (Zn, Mg, Fe, Ca, P) and some haematochemical parameters (osteocalcin and alkaline phosphatase activity). Integration seemed to induce an increase in Ca and Mg levels (P< 0, 05 and < 0,001, respectively) in mares. No effects were observed in foals.
