A model for the non-linear analysis of continuous reinforced concrete beams prestressed by external slipping cables having generic path is presented. The numerical solution is obtained by the finite element method. Some applications to simply supported and continuous beams are performed to show the capabilities of the proposed method. Finally, with the aim to obtain simplified rules to evaluate the cable traction at the ultimate state of the beam, some results of a parametric analysis performed on a set of 24 beams are provided.

Abstract
A model for the non-linear analysis of continuous reinforced concrete beams prestressed by external slipping cables having generic path is presented. The numerical solution is obtained by the finite element method. Some applications to simply supported and continuous beams are performed to show the capabilities of the proposed method. Finally, with the aim to obtain simplified rules to evaluate the cable traction at the ultimate state of the beam, some results of a parametric analysis performed on a set of 24 beams are provided.File in questo prodotto:
