Indagine epidemiologica sulla carie dentaria in scolari di due comuni collinari marchigiani a differente contenuto in fluoro nelle acque potabili.

The fluoride different content in potable water from two Marchean Communes, characterized by almost identic environmental and social-economic condtions, has given the Authors the chance to an epidemiological study concerning the incidence of tooth decay within the above mentioned Communes school population (Materne, Elemnatri and Medie Schools). The results stress very clerly that the tooth decay, very diffused in both localities, strikes more frequently and more widely the boys from Camerino in comparison to that from Cingoli (78.62 percent and 68.33 percent respectively), although the examined "social" indexes (social-economic conditions, alimentary customs, tooth clering) are more propitions in Camerino than in Cingoli. It is likely that the lesser incidence of tooth decay in Cingoli can be ascibed to the fluorinw greater content in potable water (0.65 mg/l) in comparison very good are not even reached in Cingoli.
